Installation / Care
Plastisol
Plastisol should be overlapped one and a half ribs. Although care should still be taken when fitting the sheets so that scratches do not occur the plastic coating on the Plastisol is much more durable to this type of wear than the polyester coated sheets.

Polyester
When fitting polyester coated sheets it is important that no scratching occurs between sheets as the polyester is easily damaged this way and can cause increased wear and rusting.
Curved sheets
Curved sheets should be double overlapped to increase rigidity.
Galvanised Steel
Overlap for galvanised steel should be overlapped on corrugation or two in exposed areas.
Fixing the sheets should be done at every valley in accordance to the British standard.
Over Cladding asbestos cement roofing
Old asbestos/cement roofs can be very brittle and the weight of a man can cause them to give way. So when fitting the over cladding it is highly important that crawling boards are used throughout.
All debris on the old roof should be removed before fitting the over cladding. It is important that none of the old bolts touch the cladding as this can cause increased wear. Also the roof should always be dry when fitting the over cladding.
The new cladding should be attached directly over the old asbestos sheet, overlapping should be one profile and sealed with bead sealant if this is required.
The new cladding should be attached gradually. Old fixings should be removed as the new ones replace them.
